Another NBC Comedy Bites The Dust

It's Over! NBC has pulled the Michael J Fox Show from its lineup just one week after doing the same thing to Sean Saves The World. After the Olympics, NBC plans to air Hollywood Game Night in the 9 PM hour, following Community and Parks & Recreation. Hollywood Game Night, is slated to run through April 3. NBC has not decided what will air in that time slot after April 3rd.

With 7 episodes produced but not yet aired there has been no decision regarding the remaining 7 episodes. There is a possibility that NBC will use the episodes as slackly throughout the rest of the season, or possibly make them available online. It has been a bad season for comedies on NBC Thursdays. Three of there brand new comedies; Welcome To the Family, Michael J. Fox and Sean Saves The World all did very poorly in the ratings.

In its last airing January 24, both Michael J. Fox and Sean logged an underwhelming 0.7 in 18-49 a week after Michael J. Fox posted that dismal 0.6 demo rating. The addition of Hollywood Game Night is in line with the speculation that NBC is considering alternative comedies for its struggling Thursday comedy block.
