SEASON 2 EPISODE 1 "WEB OF LIES"

SYNOPSIS: In the Season 2 premiere, the feud between Nettie and Kayla escalates into an all-out brawl. Meanwhile, Mellie receives an unexpected phone call after getting out of jail; and three new family members arrive in Martinsburg, W.Va.

      

RECAP AND REVIEW: WARNING *SPOILERS AHEAD*



I Know I said I was only going to recap and review amazing dramas but, First this show is one of my all time guilty pleasures. With 3 new gypsy sisters this season, there was no doubt that the drama would be off the charts!

Recap: We start off with some sad news, my favorite gypsy sister, Laura has packed up and moved away from Martinsburg, which means she's no longer on the show. (Sad face)

AND on the bright side, Mellie is done serving here jail time, and NOOKIE is home!!!

SHOCKER: Mellie and Robbie are still splitsville.... Who didn't see that coming lol

But that's where all the niceness ends. Apparently Kayla and Nettie are at war, and all the members of their family have to pick sides

The war is getting ugly, with Nettie ready to kick Kayla's ass and Kayla bad mouthin Nettie to Mellie, there seems to be no end in sight.

"Kayla and I have been fighting very purfousively over the internet" -Nettie

The war with Nettie isn't the only thing on Kayla's mind, her father was killed in a squirmish at a motel last year and the man responsible for his death is about to be sentenced so she's headed to North Carolina so she can be at his sentencing

On her way to the court house she picks up her sister Annie ( A new gypsy sister, who she calls raggedy ann and who was featured on an episode of My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding) and her other sister Christine

 

Unfortunately, the man who killed Kayla's father, took a plea bargain and will only serve 15 months

But this won't be the only time we see Annie cuz she's moving to Martinsburg to live with Kayla so Kayla can teach her how to be a good gypsy wife!

Back in Martinsburg, Mellie is buying a swing for her unborn baby and she decides to impart on the store keepers some of the many gypsy superstitions:

• Monkeys and birds mean DEATH
• Can't touch a man with a broom because then they'll hear someone got locked up

As she leaves the store, her birth father calls for the first time and promises to come to Martinsburg to see her

Kayla and Annie grab dinner with Laura and Gus before they head back to Martinsburg, and we get some hope that we may see them in the future

While Kayla is away, Nettie and her crew have decided to go bowling as a family outing, but Nookie is getting restless and snaps at her mom, aunt and sister about her relationship with her on again off again boyfriend Pookie

Mellie is attempting to nest at her sister Tanya's house where she's been staying, but putting together baby gear is not her forte. While they attempt to put together the rocker for Mellie's baby, Tanya tells Mellie all about the fight going on between her kids and Kayla's kids.

Switch to Kayla's house were Annie, Kayla and her girls, Danielle and Sissy are hanging out getting beautified when Sissy get a message from one of Tanya's kids, she then confesses to her mom that they have been fighting through snap chat and other social media. Kayla doesn't want to deal with it so she takes Sissy's and Danielle's phone.

Then there's a shout from the other room, the second new gypsy sister Sheena arrives, she's Nettie's and Kayla's 1st cousin who also happens to be married to one of Nettie, Mellie's, and Tanya's brother. ( Weird and Gross!) Sheena like Annie is separated from her husband and will be staying at Kayla's for the summer. They all decide to head to the nail salon for some much needed pampering

Mellie's dad is in town, so Mellie and Nettie are headed to see him at the hotel, Mellie's nervous and isn't sure she actually wants to meet him in person, they get all way to the parking lot of the hotel when they get into an argument with Kayla over the phone about the fighting between her and Tanya's kids that ends with, Kayla telling Nettie she's ready to fight her in person. They start drivin around as they argue with Kayla about a good place to fight, Mellie and Nettie pick up their other sister Brandy and head to Tanya's place, where everyone has agreed to fight

Mellie and Nettie arrive at Tanya's first, and there is a crowd starting to grow as people hear through the grapevine what's about to happen. Nettie prepares to fight, by pulling her hair up, taking off her scandals and puttin on a pair of socks.

Kayla and her crew, pile into there truck with Kayla riding on Shena's lap who's riding shot-gun. They are as hyped about the fight as Mellie and Nettie are.

And when they pull up at Tanya's house, Kayla hops out of the still I in truck and charges across the lawn to punch Nettie in the face!

Review: OMG never in a million years did I actually believe that Kayla and Nettie would end up fist fighting. I don't even know what to say about them, they were fussin and fighting over nothing, but I have to admit it did make for some good drama. I love how Nettie holds down her family and tries to provide for everyone but I have to admit on this fight, I'm on Kayla's side!
