Game of Thrones has become a monster hit for HBO and the network has decided to treat it as such. HBO has renewed the series for a fifth and sixth season. So fans can rest assured their favorite show will be around for the forceable future. How far the show will go is still in the hands of the novels’ writer George R.R. Martin , who is still writing Book 6 in the seven-book series. But

  Spike TV is adding a 5th season including 16 more episodes of Ink Master to its line up. These 16 one hour episodes will premiere sometime this fall. Ink Master features tattoo artists from around the country battling it out each week in permanent ink for a $100,000 cash prize and an editorial feature in Inked magazine. This show continues to be a cornerstone of Spike TV's original programming slate. The network plans to add more tattoo related programming within the next year.

MTV use to be known for its dedication to everything pop culture and a slew of reality shows including fan favorites: MADE, and True Story. The iconic cable channel seems to be struggling to find it identity when the market is over populated with pop culture websites, webisodes and television shows. Nevertheless MTV expanded into MTV2 and has undergone multiple attempts at scripted television which landed them the monster hit Teen Wolf. MTV has renewed some fan favorites and picked up 3 new unscripted series featuring dancers, alaskans and people owning up to making bad choices. At its upfronts last month, MTV was also nice enough to set a premiere date for one of its most anticipated new dramas; Finding Carter. Newly Announced Series:

Last month E! Hosted their upfront presentation, confirming their summer shows and presenting new shows in development. This year E! will have more original series than ever before. E! has unveiled its original programming slate, which includes three upcoming series, and the network’s first original scripted series The Royals debuting in early 2015. The network has picked up a second season of #RichKids Of Beverly Hills and has put in development a New York-based spinoff. celebrity-driven unscripted fare remains a cornerstone of E!’s programming with new projects headlined by the Kardashians, Christina Millian and Lance Bass. ABC is the home to some of the most talked about dramas on network television including; Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, Revenge, Nashville and of course Marvels Agents of Shield. Every Year all the networks announce what shows have been renewed, which have been cancelled, and the brand new shows that will grace everyone’s television sets in the fall. The CW is no exception. CW has been known for renewing shows that have bad ratings, but usually even then it is still somewhat predictable to figure out which series will be back for another season, and which would die, never to be heard from again. This year there was one major surprise and four new show pickups. Out of 6 shows taken to pilot, putting 4 on the roster gives the CW a pretty high batting average. TV Land has picked up Younger for 12 episodes. This single camera comedy starring Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff , Debi Mazar and Miriam Shor.     Disney Channel is showing the next generation of the 90's hit classic Boy Meets World . Danielle Fishel and Ben Savage will both be back to reprise their roles in the new spinoff series. Girl Meets World , has a similar premise to the original series, but, as the title suggests, this is from a girl’s perspective. 2014-2015 FOX SCHEDULE Fox has decided to do away with the traditional pilot cycle and instead develop pilots more like the cable stations do. Fox has always been an interesting network, it never embraced having original programming at the 10 o’clock hour, and up until this year their lineup has been filled with reality shows. This year they are switching it up, having less reality shows on their network and adding more dramas to their fall schedule. This year, NBC was the top rated network and they have plans to keep it that way. NBC has renewed their contract with the Olympics and the Grammy, and has ordered 2 more seasons of The Voice in hopes of keeping up their momentum. As NBC readies to conduct its upfront presentation today, it has done what every other prime time network has had to do and has cancelled its under performing shows. This year NBC will be cancelling a total of 10 series which is one less than ABC. Surprising for many, two shows; Revolution and Community were both cancelled and its looking like neither show will find a new home on any other network. Unlike other networks the genre that was hit the hardest for NBC was its dramas, this year they will be cancelling 6 of their dramas most of which were in there freshman seasons. So grab a tissue and check and see if your favorite show will not be returning.

You have to go Big or go Home if you are looking to keep your slot at CBS. Unfortunately, some shows are just not up to CBS standards. This year, 6 shows have been cancelled, and an iconic comedy is coming to an end. Although CBS' head of programming announced that there would most likely only be two new drama series picked up and two new comedy series added to the line-up it is now abundantly clear that CBS will welcome more than four new shows next season. Most of the shows coming to an end saw the writing on the wall and wrote an appropriate series ending.

Upfront season always drags new and returning shows to the slaughter house. Even though Fox has changed the way they are going to develop and pick up new shows, that does nothing for the 6 fox shows getting cancelled or the one comedy that was cancelled and then saved by TBS. So grab your tissues and take a look at all the shows that wont be returning!

So its official the Hammer has come down for shows struggling on ABC. The Friday and Saturdays before Upfront presentations are typically brutal and this year was no exception. The list of shows that will not be returning is extensive and so far is mostly comedy based. The class hit the hardest seems to be ABC’s freshman crop of shows, with more than half of them ending their first season never to return.   Both Suburgatory and Mixology are being shopped to other networks like TBS, bu it is unlikely that either one will get a reprieve from dooms day. All the other shows have been renewed, but the size of the order and when the show will return, and what new series will join it is all up in the air and will only be resolved after ABC’s Upfronts May 12th 2014. In 2014 GSN plans to boost up its commitment to original content, they will be adding one new series this year with many more in development. OWN has announced that soon it will be time to say goodbye to Our America with Lisa Ling . The upcoming 5th season of the documentary series will be its last. Our America was one of the first shows picked up by OWN back when it started, and it was the shining light of the network when critical accolades and praise by critics. At the time it was the only show not hosted by Winfrey that drew any type of audience the only one to make it this far. Acknowledging Our America‘s contributions to OWN, both of the network’s presidents spoke of the series’ exit. “Over the past three years, O ur America has cast a bright light into dark places, raised awareness of some of our country’s most controversial issues and provided a voice to those who are often not heard,” said OWN President Sheri Salata. ABC Family 2014 Upfront I am more than a little addicted to ABC Family’s comedies and dramas. This year ABC Family has decided to ease up on the comedies and to try and add some new dramas to their schedule. After launching three new dramas this year and all but one of them having disastrous rating, ABC Family has decide to up their game and has ordered 4 new drama pilots. Their pilots include everything from substance abuse to the supernatural. These pilots if picked up would most likely be developed for next summer, since their 2014 summer line-up has already been set.  Depending on how you look at it; Mike “the Situation” Sorrentino is moving up in the world and trading his reality gig at MTV for a new reality TV show on TVGN. The situation will star in an 8 episode first season that will probe deep into "The Situation" and members on his family including Mike (youngest brother), Linda (mother), Marc (middle brother), Melissa (sister) and Frank (older brother). Apparently we have only seen one side of him, The Situation side, and now it’s time for America to get a look at Mike Sorrentino. We will see how

See Dad Run is going to slow to a walk and eventual sit down in 2014. Season 3 of the Nick at Nite sitcom is currently filming, and this will be the final season of the series. There are 5 episodes left to air from See Dad Run’s 20 episode second season , therefore fans will enjoy an entire new series before seeing the show come to the close. See Dad Run will have a 13 episodes plus 1 hour long series finale. See Dad Run stars David Hobbs (Scott Baio) who becomes a stay-at-home dad so his soap-opera star wife (Alanna Ubach) can get back in the spotlight, but he quickly realizes that playing a dad on television is much different from the real thing. NICKELODEON 2014 UPFRONT With rumors swarming about the future of Sam and Cat, and the networks decision to end Victorious last year, Nickelodeon is in despite need of some live action original programming to add to its lineup. Nickelodeon has a history of being the most watched children’s network on TV, and they have no plans on changing that anytime soon. In keeping with the times, Nickelodeon this season is green lighting some original programming just for their digital platforms. This season Nickelodeon has added 10 new series to the schedule with Content Spanning Every Genre, Every Platform. There is currently no plans to expand Nick at Nite instead their original programming will be moving to Thursday nights this quarter, to provide a family hour of viewing, are the network’s two original sitcoms: Instant Mom and See Dad Run. It’s been a brutal day over at The CW, as the network gets ready for its upfront next Thursday. With six shows on the bubble, the CW definitely needed to cut some of its dead weight so that it could pick up some new series for next season. The final verdict is that freshman series the 100 , 3rd year veteran  Hart of Dixie and the sophomore series currently on hiatus Beauty and the Beast will all be returning for another season. Which means The Tomorrow People, Star-crossed and the much beloved Carrie Diaries have all gotten the ax. 

Thursday Night Football has found a new home at CBS. Therefore, the already cramped CBS schedule is getting even tighter since there is less room on the roster. The network has not stated that they are only looking to add 2 dramas and 2 comedies to the line-up for next year. AMAZON 2014 UPFRONTS Amazon Studios has decided that it’s here to stay. They are not backing down from creating their own content for their streaming service. In fact, Amazon is hosting its own upfront presentation and has picked up four of their five pilots to series. Unlike most other networks, Amazon allows any interested viewer to watch any of their pilots and comment on them. The pilots that create the most buzz are then picked up to series. This year, amazon is expanding into original dramas.  New Original Series: 

  The Big Bang Theory had an iconic 3 year multi-year renewal deal with CBS which kept the series going until 2014-2015. As the highest rated comedy on network television it was not a question as to whether or not the show would be renewed but rather for how many seasons the show would be renewed for. Well congratulations Theory Fans, CBS and Warner Brothers have reached another 3 year renewal deal for the iconic television series. This would allow the series to at least see 10 seasons. This deal would keep The Big Bang Theory on CBS until at least 2016-2017. Big Bang is not the only chuck Lorre series in talks for additional seasons, there are rumors of a 13-episode final season of Two and a Half Men eyed along with renewals for next season of Mike & Molly and freshman Mom.  Even through the show
