The hit television show based on the Melissa de la Cruz novel (who I love by the way) is being picked up for a second season, after an amazing freshman run. Witches of East End starring the beautiful Jenna Tatum and Rachel Boston, is about a family of witches that live in the little town of East Haven is receiving a 13 episode second season which is slated to premiere in 2014. Rob Sharenow, EVP and General Manager of Lifetime believe that “The show’s perfect mix of premium execution with content that is in the zeitgeist is drawing new viewers to Lifetime and we’re very excited to be bringing it back for a second season.” Witches of East End is one of the youngest skewing show on the network and it averages 3.0 million total viewers, 1.7 million Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 viewers, and 1.3 million Women 18-49 and Women 25-54 viewers on a Live+7 basis through five weeks. If it keeps these types of numbers it will probably be back for a 3rd season as well.
