Emeril Lagasse and Ty Pennington join TNT's ON THE MENU

TNT is adding even more realty shows to its vast programming slate with the addition of On the Menu. On the Menu Menu is a cooking show centered on star chef Emeril Lagasse as the Menu Master and Ty Pennington from Extreme Home Makeover as the host. The show is slated to premiere fall 2014. In each episode, a group of hopeful home cooks will be challenged to create a next signature dish for that week’s selected restaurant chain, stadium concession stand, or other American food business. The amateur cooks will
work in conjunction with professional chefs to create their dishes, from concept to execution. A panel of judges will then determine which dish not only tastes the best, but also fits with the restaurant’s current menu offerings. The winning dish will immediately go on the business’ menu, giving viewers at home the chance to go try the dish the very next day. This innovated approach to reality television is a way that TNT is setting its self apart as more and more cable stations are adding more original programming.
