*10/11/13 The Fosters has been Renewed for Season 2*

ABOUT:
The Fosters is a one-hour drama about a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms. Stef Foster (Teri Polo), a dedicated police officer, and her partner Lena Adams (Sherri Saum), a school vice principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef's biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon (David Lambert), and their adopted twins, Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) and Jesus (Jake T. Austin). Their lives are disrupted in unexpected ways when Lena meets Callie (Maia Mitchell), a hardened teen with an abusive past who has spent her life in and out of foster homes. Lena and Stef warily welcome Callie into their home thinking it's just for a few weeks, until a more permanent placement can be found.

Callie is quick to observe that the Fosters are an atypical family, and her blunt commentary hits a nerve with Jesus and Mariana who are struggling with their own identities. The twins have the opportunity to meet their birth mother, but they aren't sure if they are emotionally ready, or if they want to share the experience with their adoptive moms.

Brandon, lends Callie a hand in navigating the classrooms and social scene at the Fosters' high school, Anchor Beach Community Charter School. He's faced with a tough decision when Callie decides to ditch school to reconnect with someone from her past. What happens next will determine if Stef and Lena made the right choice in taking a chance on Callie, and whether they have room in their home - and their hearts - for one more. CAST:

STEF FOSTER
Played by Teri Polo
Stef Foster is a tough but fair police officer, although she may not be what most would describe as stereotypically maternal. Living in a committed lesbian relationship with her partner and soulmate Lena, this divorcee is the wonderful biological mother of Brandon and the adoptive mother of both Mariana and Jesus. When Callie comes to stay, Stef is more than a little upset.
LENA ADAMS
Played by Sherri Saum
The beautiful, motherly figure Lena, is Stef's lesbian partner and is the other mother to their three kids. Lena can't help but want to save all the unloved children in the world, so they can all have a fighting chance. Lena is the vice principle of her children charter school and is the catalyst  that brings Callie into her and Stef's home, for a temporary stay.  She never imaged everything that would happen as a result.

MIKE FOSTER
Played by Danny Nucci
Mike is a handsome guy who happens to be Stef’s ex-husband and Brandon’s biological father. Also a police officer, Mike requests to partner up with Stef after her regular partner leaves the department – a move that doesn’t sit well with Lena.
BRANDON FOSTER
Played by David Lambert
An intense, attractive and talented teen, Brandon is Stef’s only biological son, a good student with a passion for music especially the piano. Brandon has a good bond with his two moms and his adoptive siblings, but is intrigued and a little bit taken aback by the defiant, wounded Callie, the newest addition to the household.

JESUS FOSTER
Played by Jake T. Austin
Mariana’s fraternal twin, Jesus is a charming, hyperkinetic kid  with ADHD who is protective of his sister and his adoptive family. Jesus isn’t as good a student as his sister, but he is far more sensible and pragmatic than she. But when he falls for his sisters best friend, all is not well between the twins.

MARIANA FOSTER
Played by Cierra Ramirez
Mariana is a girl, super smart straight A student who was adopted by Stef and Lena, along with her fraternal twin, Jesus. She is book smart and not necessarily street smart. Mariana has been keeping secrets from Jesus and her adoptive family that could land her more than a little bit of serious trouble.

CALLIE
Played by Maia Mitchell
An offbeat, scarred, and beautiful teen, Callie has spent her life in the foster care system. She’s been hardened by all the bad experiences in her life and is slow to accept her new surroundings when she moves in with the Fosters on a temporary basis. Defiant and tough, but with a sensitive soul, Callie warms to Lena but is icy to Stef, who, as a cop, puts Callie on edge.

Jude
Played by Hayden Byerly
Jude is Callie's younger brother and is a sensitive boy who was living with an abusive foster father with Callie, until she returns from Juvie with help from some powerful allies, and is able to rescue him from his sad situation. Callie  always is and will always remains fiercely protective of Jude.

MY FIVE WIVES ON TLC

"One huge plural family" After the raid in Texas, many Americans became aware of polygamy as an alternative lifestyle being practiced secretly all over the U.S. TLC became the first channel to offer viewers an inside look into how polygamy was being practiced by "modern" looking men and women. The network decided to capitalized on the American public's innate fascination with alternative lifestyles and their curiosity with how these all American families; live, interact and find a way to raise and feed households that are often 5 or 6 times the size of the average family.    We got our first look into how normal and yet chaotic their lives were when TLC introduced its viewers to the Brown family; Kody, his four wives, and their seventeen children. They ice blocked, threw co-ed parties, and had a non negotiable stance on modesty -- they were normal. It only took one episode for TLC to know they had a hit on their hands. In four seasons, there has bee
