Its time to SCREAM with MTV, they announced their new shows as the 2013 MTV Upfronts

MTV use to be known for its dedication to everything pop culture and a slew of reality shows including fan favorites: MADE, and True Story. The iconic cable channel seems to be struggling to find it identity when the market is over populated with pop culture websites, webisodes and television shows. Nevertheless MTV expanded into MTV2 and has undergone multiple attempts at scripted television which landed them the monster hit Teen Wolf. There will be at least 5 new original series on the iconic network before 2014. In a rare move MTV has already green lighted a pilot for a tv show based off the Scream Movie franchise, without a script or a concept for the show. Officials inside MTV have stated that Scream will hopefully air by summer 2014. I guess we shall see.

In Development

Scream (pilot)
MTV and Dimension Film’s one-hour pilot will reinvent the successful horror comedy franchise that spawned three sequels and unleashed “Ghostface” to a legion of unsuspecting fans. MTV and Dimension Films are in discussions with various writers for the potential series which would be slated for a summer 2014 debut on the network. Dimension Films is in discussions with the films’ original director and renowned filmmaker Wes Craven to direct the one-hour pilot. DiGa Vision will serve as a producer.

USA is home to some of cable’s most watched drama’s including; Suits, Burn Notice, White Collar, and many other. This year it launched a new drama series Graceland which I found to be interesting and a great addition to the stellar USA line up. The one thing that has been missing from USA’s slew of original series and marathons of NCIS and Law and Order SVU is a comedy show. To be honest I do not think there is a 30 minute show that runs on USA, this year that fact is going to change. Not only will there be 2 brand new original comedies finding a place on this drama heavy channel but the juggernaut MODERN FAMILY will officially start its syndication run on the network starting in Tuesday, September 24 at 8/7c.

follows three of Chicago’s best EMTs whose sometimes silly, self-righteous and even self-destructive personalities make them unqualified for sustaining relationships, friendships and most occupations. They are, however, uniquely qualified for saving anyone who winds up in their ambulance.

is a single-camera buddy comedy about what happens when two best friends come back together, just when they need each other most. The original half-hour series is inspired by the ultra-close friendship between St. Clair and Parham. In PLAYING HOUSE, when mother to-be Maggie (Parham) asks her single and career-driven best friend Emma (St. Clair) to return home from her job overseas to attend her baby shower, she has no idea what’s truly in store.

LOVE IS DEAD (pilot order):
This single-camera comedy is set at a unique company that specializes in breaking-up romantic relationships -- rationally, compassionately, thoroughly -- on behalf of those who are willing to pay to not be around when it happens. It’s the unconventional romantic comedy that asks: “Why, if love is so fickle, do we keep coming back for more?”

is a period genre drama set at the height of World War II. At a time when many American women took more significant roles in the workplace than ever before, a secretary at the FBI begins a secretive investigation into files that have been stamped with the codename “horizon.” This mysterious project provides links to the death of her husband and the disappearance of a young girl, and has also - unbeknownst to her - aroused the interest of undercover Nazi spies working in the US. The pilot will go into production this summer.

THE ARRANGEMENT (Pilot Under Consideration)-
THE ARRANGEMENT tells the story of Lourdes Nieves (Stephanie Sigman, “Miss Bala”), a Columbian woman who trades her tragic and mysterious past for a fresh start in Miami by entering into a marriage with Billy Whitley (Bryan Greenberg, “How to Make It In America”), a well-meaning and ambitious politician. In a union of political expediency, Lourdes and Billy manage a delicate dance of romance and clear-eyed pragmatism as she leverages her experience and contacts to help her husband battle the blood sport that is local Florida politics.

THE EDGE – THE EDGE is a thriller that explores one idealistic man’s journey after he leaves an NGO to join the world’s top venture capital firm. Jeff Cross believes he landed his dream job working with an elite team of progressive thinking investors who fund socially conscious projects to better the planet. As he rises through the ranks, he discovers a morally bankrupt workplace that perpetuates shadowy agendas to control governments, industries and global leaders to fill The Firm’s coffers. If he goes up against this financial goliath, Jeff risks his soul and the lives of those closest to him

The story of an ER doctor whose life changes after he is involved in a gang shooting when he is forced to explore how active a doctor can be in treating the cause of his patients' medical problems.

After an unconventional act of heroism gives her the opportunity to choose her next assignment, a young FBI agent surprises everyone by choosing the bank crimes division in Los Angeles. The city of LA is the epicenter of bank robberies in the U.S. with three to six banks robbed every day, representing 30% of all bank robberies in the country. It takes a special kind of person to confront such an unrelenting tide of crime, leaving her peers suspicious of her intent.

Based on a series of books by Ben Rehder, BLANCO COUNTY follows the story of John Marlin, a worldly pro baseball player who would rather spend his down time traveling the world than return to his small Texas hometown. After the death of his father, Marlin returns home to find a lot has changed since he left. The place is now booming with rich ranchers and tourists and there's an uneasy alliance between the locals and the nouveau rich. Believing the local cops to be inept, Marlin runs for sheriff and surprisingly wins. A man who spent his entire life running away from his roots must now adapt to a new way of life.

A haunting limited series set on a beautiful but remote island. As the summer draws to an end and the vacationers/weekenders have all left the island, the young staff left behind is ready to finally let loose before they pack up as well. When an unexpected storm rolls across the island during the party, several people mysteriously vanish and turn up dead. Trapped on the island with no means of escape, the remaining group struggles to survive – against whatever is out there … and each other.

HUNGRY is an inside look at the opening of a New York City hot spot, inspired by Bastianich's life and his New York Timesbestseller “Restaurant Man.” Well versed in the toll that restaurant life can take on one’s relationships, the son of a famous chef nevertheless tries to open his own eatery. He juggles negotiating with teamsters, working the front of the house with high-end clientele, managing a large staff and finding time to follow his passion: cooking. He is monomaniacal in his pursuit of the perfect restaurant, at a steep cost to himself and those he loves

A legal thriller centered on Ethan, a former Army JAG attorney now working as a criminal lawyer in NY who is recruited by the FBI to crack an ongoing investigation. Ethan serves as a shadow counsel - a secret lawyer who operates behind the scenes and completely off the record to circumvent existing roadblocks (hired attorneys, interrogators, etc) in classified cases. Reluctantly agreeing to take the case, Ethan’s life rapidly descends into chaos as he finds himself on the run, unsure of who his friends are or who he can trust.

Summer Schedule:

Tuesdays (beginning July 16)
9 p.m.: Covert Affairs
10 p.m.: Suits

Wednesdays (beginning June 12)
9 p.m.: Royal Pains
10 p.m. Necessary Roughness

Thursdays (beginning June 6)
8 p.m.: Summer Camp (Premieres July 8th)
9 p.m.: Burn Notice
10 p.m. Graceland (series debut)

As the oh so popular Burn Notice, finishes its final season, this summer on USA, one must admit that next summer will be a season of change. I have loved USA since I caught my first NCIS marathon, on their channel and I have been hooked ever since. I watch; Covert Affairs, Suits, White Collar, Necessary Roughness, Graceland, and even Royal Pains on occasion. With loss of Burn Notice and the lack of new series offered this summer it stands to reason that unless USA finds some new hit original series it is going to fall behind one of his biggest competitors TNT. Some of their development slate looks really good. for now I am gonna kick back, relax and faithfully watch Covert Affairs, Suits and Graceland. What about you... what will you be watching? Do you like USA's new series Graceland? What is your favorite USA original series? let us know in the comments!

All Types of Families are Featured on ABC Family

*Updated 7/15/13*
In 2013 ABC family did not host an upfront event, most likely because the fate of more than one show is still unknown. ABC Family is one of those rare television stations where I am going to try everything that premieres on that channel at least once. I may not love everything but, I must say I am addicted to more than a handful of their hit television programs. Summer programming is where Abc Family shines and I must say that this year is no different; there are new hits and returning favorites for everyone to enjoy. Although there is still no word on what lies ahead for previous summer hits such as Bunheads, and the lying game, that is no reason not to tune in this summer and get wrapped up in; the mystery, friendships, and family that remains a key component of ABC Family original series.

Updated 7/15/13 - Sad News Lying Game and Bunheads Fans
According to several of the leading co-stars. The show has not been picked up for a third season. Although Season two ended on a cliffhanger, the lying game has always been a border line show in terms of ratings. With the plethora of new shows in the works at ABC Family, I guess season 3 was not feasible. Tell us your favorite Lying Game moments. Or just your vent frustrations in the comments section!

AMC The Home Of Great DRAMA.....2013 AMC UPFRONTS

Throughout the past six years, AMC has made a commitment to its viewers to provide the television on best in basic cable, and the 4 Emmy awards for Outstanding Drama is a testament to that commitment. AMC’s lineup includes some of the most talked about dramas on television today including; The Walking Dead, Mad Men, Hell on Wheels, etc. AMC has proven that it can create and maintain high quality dramas that people want to watch. At their 2013 Upfronts AMC announced various reality and drama series in development. AMC is truly television for everyone, and their series will keep the viewer enamored from start to finish.

A futuristic drama, “Ballistic City” is the story of a former cop thrust into the criminal underworld of a city housed in a generational space ship destined for an unknown world.

In the early 1960s, Floridian King Carmichael sells his soul to a corrupt, racist political machine to win a seat in the Senate. Having run as a segregationist, he is then tapped by Lyndon B. Johnson to champion civil rights in the South.

Set in 1950 in Ashland, a tiny mining town in Kentucky, the Evans family has just relocated from California and the matriarch, Del, must hide her family’s secrets and find a way to support her three children at the height of the Red Scare.

The drama series follows western diplomats and journalists living in Afghanistan.

Set against the New York automobile industry of the 1920s, two brothers struggle to keep their family-run company afloat with a class-hopping Ziegfeld girl and the daughter of an English competitor blurring the line between love and business.

In America’s near future, one family is nearly torn apart in the conflict between a repressive government and the emerging movement for a second American Revolution.

In 1960s Berlin, an American businessman becomes embroiled in a web of East-West espionage.

is a docu-style, unscripted series that celebrates the American democratic process. At the most grass root level, whether it's an election for president of the birdwatchers club or a small-town city council, it will take a light-hearted look at democracy at work as the candidates vie for votes – because, in America -- Majority Rules.

is the battle royale of celebrity talk shows – an unscripted, hilarious, tongue-in-cheek format that features celebrity bowling matches. In each episode, celebrity teams compete to win big money for charity while letting loose and showing how even the highest profile stars can get competitive, while letting fans in on their lives and current projects.

“Cancelled” is a social experiment that will attempt to determine just how far people will really go for fame. Over the course of eight weeks, six households will be outfitted with cameras that will give them the chance to compete for 'ratings' that will determine which household has the most-watched reality show.

“Small Town Security” explores the inner workings of a small, family-run security and private investigation company in Ringgold, Georgia called JJK Security. The series returns for a second season of straight-up and serious security work, love triangles with a twist, sarcasm served over easy, and a generous helping of stranger-than-fiction scatological humor that will draw you in and make you look away, all at the same time. Season one premiered in July 2012 to critical acclaim, with USA Today hailing it as a reality show that “manages to defy the stereotype” and the Associated Press saying it “bristles with authenticity even as it feels deliriously (and sometimes hilariously) hyper-real with its larger-than-life characters.”

Fame meets Main on AMC's new unscripted competition series, “Showville.” The series centers around a small town talent show featuring local acts, who get the chance of a lifetime to be in the spotlight. “Showville” is a celebration of performing, and a fond, funny look at the lives, workplaces and families of these acts and what happens to them when Hollywood comes to town. Each week, a one-hour episode of “Showville” touches down in a quintessentially American small town and puts together a talent show in a mere four days.

Starring Mark Strong (Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy, Zero Dark Thirty) and Lennie James (“The Walking Dead,” “Jericho,” Snatch), “Low Winter Sun” is a contemporary story of murder, deception, revenge and corruption in a world where the line between cops and criminals is blurred. The series begins with the murder of a cop by a fellow Detroit detective. Seemingly the perfect crime, in reality the murder activates forces that will forever alter the detective’s life, and pull him into the heart of the Detroit underworld. The ten-episode series is based on the 2006 award-winning British two-part mini-series of the same name written by Simon Donald and produced by Tiger Aspect Productions (an Endemol Company).

“Owner’s Manual” will test one of the most common divides among man - those who read the owner’s manual and those who do not. Representing each side of this divide, Ed Sanders (“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”) and Marcus Hunt (HGTV’s “Hammer Heads”) are put to the test in a weekly challenge where they attempt to operate today’s most advanced, dangerous and powerful machinery and technology – from a stunt plane to an off-road racing car to a locomotive, and more. With opposing points of view and conflicting methods of practice -- one man works strictly from the rule book, while the other uses only his instincts -- the real test will be how this “everyman” duo can collaborate to accomplish their challenge.

“The Pitch” chronicles numerous interesting characters as they prepare unique creative campaigns, with big personal stakes, at their advertising agencies to try and win a major new piece of business. The show focuses on the characters who are putting their best work forward and shows the personal stakes involved in winning each client. “The Pitch” first premiered on AMC in April 2012 and earned a Critic’s Choice nomination for Best Reality Series – Competition.

  • THE KILLING – premiered Sunday June, 2nd at 8PM
    • that it will air a special weekly, half-hour live after show to accompany the conclusion of its Emmy® Award-winning series, “Breaking Bad.” “Talking Bad” will analyze and dissect every detail of “Breaking Bad’s” final eight episodes beginning Sunday, August 11. “Talking Bad” will air at 11pm ET/PT

AMC’s live after show, hosted by Chris Hardwick (Nerdist; G4), serves as a platform for discussion of the network’s hit series “The Walking Dead.”

The series follows the crew of fan boys from Kevin Smith’s iconic comic shop, Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash, as they geek-out over rare memorabilia and discover treasures of the comic collecting world.

“Freakshow” follows Todd Ray's quirky family business -- the Venice Beach Freakshow. Leaving behind a successful career in the music industry, Todd realized his true passion: bringing together all things bizarre and unique, including two-headed animals, strange artifacts, eccentric performers and human wonders.

Breezy's Recap

There is no doubt that AMC is a cable channel not to be taken lightly. Being one of the only cable channel to receive an Emmy for best drama, AMc is well on its way to out performing the Big Four. I for one can not wait, I am going to simply sit back and enjoy the ride. The future is clear soon cable will produce 6 nights of original  and I believe AMC will get there first. I have not seen Breaking Bad or Mad Men but there will definitely be a marathon in my future. Is there any new show you are looking forward to on AMC? Any show that you can not wait to return? Let us know in the comment... What will you be watching?

The project is based on the writers’ true story: Michael Blieden (Late Night with Jimmy Fallon) and Eric Ledgin (Late Night with Jimmy Fallon). The pilot, begins production in mid-April in Stockholm.

IFC has ordered the following scripts:

What happens when an employee at a storage facility befriends a guy he finds living in one of the units? The project is based on the short film of the same name co-written by Andrew Jay Cohen (Townies) and Brendan O’Brien (Townies).

Cult Following follows two friends who jointly run a health food restaurant and inadvertently become cult leaders. The pilot script is co-written by and co-stars Matt Besser (co-founder of the Upright Citizens Brigade, Freak Dance) and Rich Fulcher (The Mighty Boosh, Snuff Box).

Actor/comedian Kyle Dunnigan (Reno 911!, Comedy Central Presents, co-host Professor Blastoff podcast) plays multiple characters living in a community that surrounds a Connecticut church. The pilot script is co-written by Kyle Dunnigan and Tim Long (The simpsons).

Part Terminator, part X-Files, part Mork and Mindy, the supernatural buddy comedy Jetpackula is written and created by Rob Schrab (The Sarah Silverman Program) and follows a washed up comic book illustrator as he befriends a vampire from the future.

Previously announced as A Bad Idea I’m About to Do, this show's script is based on comedian Chris Gethard’s (The Chris Gethard Show, The Other Guys, This American Life) recent autobiographical book of the same name. Tom Scharpling (The Best Show on WFMU, Monk) is series executive producer and co-creator.

Michael Davis (Shoot ‘Em Up) is writing a script for the action/buddy comedy Trigger Men. Based on a graphic novel, the story follows two friends and former hit men as one tries to clean up his act and the other pulls him deeper into trouble.

Created and written by Megan Mullally (Will & Grace, Party Down, Children’s Hospital) and newcomer Tina Kapousis, Two Idiots follows a pair of odd women raised in an old world Beverly Hills hotel whose simplest everyday undertakings fly absurdly off the rails, with their beleaguered butler and a remedial shared boyfriend in tow.

IFC, in partnership with the New York Television Festival, awarded a script deal and the 2012 “Out of the Box” prize to Damian Lanigan of Brooklyn, NY. The project centers on a dysfunctional Main Line Philadelphia family who find that they have squandered away their money and are left with nothing but the shared ownership of an enormous family mansion.

This was always going to be one of the hardest channels for me to review because I do not have IFC. In fact, before I started doing this blog I had never even heard of IFC before. I am not a big fan of comedies nor am I male, therefore I do not think I am the target audience for this channel. However, people have emailed me about it so, I summarized their 2013 Upfront presentation. What about you, do you like IFC? Have you ever heard of IFC? If IFC died in the woods, would it make a sound? What will you be watching IFC? Anything here tickle your fancy? Let me know in the Comments.

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, WeTv will launch seven new original series and celebrate the return of two popular shows. Two more original series will launch in the Fall of 2013. The new shows are sure to become your new guilty pleasure before the end of summer.

I am a girl, in fact sometimes I can be a girlie girl. Therefore, it is not a huge surprise that I watch WeTV. In fact I have grown to love and hate to love series on this women's channel. Finding out that WeTV is following the recent trend and breaking into scripted television is interesting, and I wonder what will come from it. I have seen almost every show described above and none of them are bad. My favorite has to be Marriage Boot Camp. If you are like me, and didn't believe that any of the couples would make it to the alter, much less the 1st anniversary it is definitely a fun watch. So what about you? What will you be watching? Is there anything calling your name? Let me know in the comments section.

There Is A Little Bit of Everything at the Spike TV 2013 Upfronts

Spike TV has changed from Men's TV to something that is beginning to resemble regular network television, has announced its 2013 development slate that features not only unscripted projects, but scripted projects. All of the shows coming to Spike TV, and in development aim to reach that 18-49 demographic. 2013 will mark Spike TV’s first return to scripted television, in over six years. They have decided to make this return with special event series, there are more than five event series planned including behind-the-scenes account of the 2012 terrorist attack on the American diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, whose aftermath still echoes in Washington. Spike TV is coming into scripted television with a different approach, which may help it gain an edge against its competitors.

Reality Series in Development

Adam Carolla is not just a renowned television, radio, and internet personality with one of the most-downloaded podcasts in the world, he is also a passionate, knowledgeable construction expert. In this pilot, Carolla serves as a vigilant watchdog to homeowners or businesses who have been cheated by a contractor and left with an unfinished disaster. Carolla, along with no-nonsense contractor Skip Bedell, hunts down the shoddy builder and gets retribution for the owner by making them fix the disaster and finish the job.

Graham Elliot, award-winning chef, restaurateur and acclaimed judge on hit series “MasterChef,” gives viewers an exclusive invitation into the underground restaurant world in “Covert Kitchens.” Now a fixture all across America, these one-night-only culinary events are put on by some of the world’s top chefs in alleyways, train cars, and even tattoo parlors. It all has to come together in one day—the food, the setting and the service. Can they pull it off?

“Hungry Investors” is the next project for “Bar Rescue” star, Jon Taffer. With Eyeworks USA producing, Taffer teams up with two fellow restaurant industry experts to seek out “diamonds in the rough” – neighboring establishments that are failing miserably, despite having amazing potential to succeed. The “Hungry Investors” put the struggling restaurants to the test in a head-to-head, challenge-based competition and the one enterprise that shows the most promise of turning things around earns a significant cash investment.

The buying and selling of businesses is a high stakes game where fortunes can be made and lost in mere moments. Business brokers act as the shrewd and astute middlemen behind these high-pressure deals and reap a percentage on the sale of companies they represent. In this Spike pilot, an aspiring small business owner is presented with three companies that are up for sale. With the guidance of a seasoned business broker, the fledgling business owner decides which company to purchase. Several months later, the show follows up to find out whether the small business owner succeeded in making their dream purchase into a moneymaker.

Superstar chef, Eric Greenspan, is going across the country to create culinary history by finding Americans with the most incredible and unique food creations. In each episode, the top food innovators will go head-to-head in order to get their mouthwatering, unexpected food combinations onto the menu of a restaurant, win a cash prize, and possibly create the next big food craze. Greenspan is the chef and owner of The Foundry and The Roof on Wilshire, and once defeated the legendary Bobby Flay on the television series “Iron Chef America.”

With over 200 million registered vehicles in the United States, it’s no surprise that auto repair shops are a booming business. Unfortunately, you don’t always get what you pay for. While the majority of auto body shops are fair and honest businesses, there are unscrupulous ones who seek to rip off unrespecting car owners by charging them for unnecessary or shoddy repairs. In “Autobody Avengers,” a team of operatives go undercover to spotlight the garages suspected of fraud.

It seems every neighborhood has a property monstrosity which is in such disarray that it’s diminishing the value of all of the houses on the block. In this Spike TV original pilot, a concerned group of neighbors joins forces to confront their negligent neighbor. The exasperated group sternly offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to renovate and fix the disastrous house as long as the neighbor-from-hell moves out and leaves the renovation in the hands of the concerned neighbors.

Outrageous criminal defense attorney Adam Reposa is a powerful voice for the underdog and a dedicated champion for justice who loves taking the path of most resistance as he defends “the least among us.” Based in Austin, TX, Adam takes on shady salesmen, nasty neighbors, lousy landlords, and anyone else who stands in the way of “Reposa Justice.”

Job applicants unwittingly compete for a full-time position as hidden cameras capture their reactions to being put through extreme on-the-job tests designed to find the perfect hire. The applicant who handles the situation best under pressure, judged by a hiring expert and the business owner, is given the chance to fill a lucrative position within the company.

Can you imagine having the opportunity to choose your next boss? In this workplace reality series, everyday employees across America will get to be in charge for one week. By week’s end, the company will be changed – hopefully for the better.

This pilot takes viewers inside the fast-paced, high-stakes world of hard money lending, a practice that is, in essence, legal loan-sharking. These hard money lenders offer short-term loans at steep interest rates guaranteed by significant collateral. If the loans default, they collect collateral worth many times the amount of the loan itself. This series follows three successful hard money lenders and documents their never-ending roller coaster ride in the world of high financial desperation. The lenders work individually but there is constant competition among them for the best loans.

Drama Scripted Pilots

From Leslie Greif (“Hatfields & McCoy’s”), Chris Collins (“Sons of Anarchy”) and Rock God and multi-hyphenate Gene Simmons (KISS), comes “Hit Men,” a thrilling look into the untold story of how the mafia took control of the music industry of the 1970’s. From rising artists to radio stations to record labels, the impact organized crime had on all facets of the music business in this era was all-consuming and changed the music world forever.

this movie event chronicles the raw and unfiltered rise and fall of Whitey Bulger, one of America’s most notorious criminals. This four-hour epic delves deep into the life of Boston’s most infamous organized crime leader, who ruled New England’s criminal underworld with an iron fist for decades. Bulger’s larger-than-life story takes us from his days as a low-level street thug to FBI informant, to mob boss bent on undermining the competition, to the FBI’s most wanted list, and fugitive on the lam for sixteen years

In the 1970’s, the United States military set up some very unorthodox and secretive departments to research a wide range of areas from telekinesis to ambient noise to body language. Among these included the Research and Acquisitions Department, designed to covertly find and acquire all artifacts mentioned in religious and mythological texts to determine if any of them truly claimed magical powers. The search came up empty until they came across the legendary Aladdin’s Lamp.

This project lifts the curtain on the untold behind-the-scenes story of the 2012 terrorist attack on the American diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. Based on declassified documents and testimonials from those who were on the ground, this miniseries will shed light on the actual events surrounding the tragic deaths of four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, and the heroic actions of CIA operatives that saved dozen of American lives.

The stories of how technological innovation is transforming the human condition will be at the center of a series of films from Raw TV, the BAFTA-Award winning team behind the critically-acclaimed film, “The Imposter.” As technology becomes such an integral part of our lives and our most personal information becomes captured in a “cloud,” how does this affect human interaction? From the comfort of a laptop, we are now able to do everything from cheating on our spouses, to sending SWAT teams to celebrities’ homes, to bringing about revolution or crashing financial markets. The connections in the digital age are actually resulting in a disconnection from humanity and this film series will explore this in a way never before seen on television.

Bar Rescue Received a 20 episode back order

Cops will premiere new episodes September 2013

Spike TV has always catered to that male, raunchy 18+ type and since I am not a man, I must admit that this channel had little appeal to me before I started this blog, and I still do not know what channel it is on at my house. However, Spike TV's stated shift from target males 18-49 to targeting everyone 18-49 is a smart move. By not alienating half the population, it stands to grow in ratings and viewers. I am really excited to see that Spike TV grabbed Cops and renewed it. While the drama pilot Hit Men looks interesting, there isn't anything else I am particularly looking forward to. What about you? What will you be watching? How much do you love Spike TV? Let me know in the comments section

The BBC and Science Channel co-produce a new factual drama, 73 SECONDS: THE CHALLENGER STORY, starring award-winning actor William Hurt as the brilliant U.S. physicist Richard Feynman, who was instrumental in uncovering the truth behind the space shuttle Challenger disaster of 1986. Feynman deployed exceptional integrity, charm and relentless scientific logic to investigate the secrets of the shuttle disaster and in doing so, helped make the U.S. space program safer.

In a companion piece to the film 73 SECONDS, Academy-Award-winning actor William Hurt leads this documentary portrait of the iconoclastic quantum genius Richard Feynman. New interviews with his family, collaborators and modern-day physicists draw a portrait of the colorful man, and describe the debt we owe to him. From Los Alamos to nanotechnology; from parallel computers to superfluids and the investigation of the Challenger shuttle disaster, Richard Feynman was integral to many of the most important developments of our age.

Science Channel and critically acclaimed actor James Woods take viewers on a journey to reveal world-changing breakthroughs and their implications for the future. Stroud must rely on his years of training, raw instincts and sheer will to survive. If that weren't enough, he refuses to bring along a film crew, preferring instead to maintain an authentic survival situation and film the journey himself, dragging 65 pounds of camera gear every inch of the way. And this time, Stroud is upping the ante and spending 10 days surviving alone in some of the world's harshest environments.

MOANING OF LIFE features Science Channel’s most famous guinea pig, Karl Pilkington as he sets forth into the most daunting adventure of his life: becoming middle-aged. A now well-traveled Pilkington will narrate a journey across cultures to investigate how people across with globe tackle some of life’s biggest coming-of-age issues.

In each episode of the series, viewers will be amazed to see how many common items are manufactured in high-tech factories around the world.

For more than a decade, the East Village's iconic Obscura Antiques & Oddities shop has been New York City's foremost destination for one-of-a-kind, bizarre-and often shocking-artifacts. Since becoming the focus of Science Channel’s hit series, ODDITIES, the Big Apple's epicenter of the eccentric has become pop culture's Mecca of the macabre.

Combining expert opinion with extraordinary computer generated imagery, the inner workings of space will be revealed as modern astronomy helps to demystify a series of unusual phenomena

I have to honestly admit I watch absolutely nothing on the science channel, and when I say nothing what I mean is not one thing. I do not even think I have browsed channels and ever accidentally found myself on the science channel, that being said I believe many long time viewers will be happy with the return of some of the favorite series. Fringe fans I am sure are ecstatic that the science channel picked up their cult favorite obsession, and since that is the only title I recognize, I will make the loos agreement to watch at least the first season of fringe (binge style) within the next year and let everyone know what I think. So what do you think? What will you be watching? Is there anything you are excited to see, or any old shows your excited to see return? Let me know in the comments section!
