The science channel is one of the four original channels rolled out by Discovery Communications in 1996. With every year, the channel has changed and adopted with the times. In April 2013 the science channel announced brand new series and specials to debut within the next year, at their 2013 Upfronts. 2013 and 2014 will be great years for the Science Channel; it will feature live science events, scripted dramas, and the return of some fan favorite original series. The Science Channels first scripted program ever… will be 73 Seconds: The Challenger Investigation. This fast growing cable channel will continue to draw in new viewers.
