Destination America has become known for celebrating the United States; from its people to its places, nothing is too inconsequential or too big to be the focus of a special or a series on the network. This summer will mark the one year anniversary for the network and Destination America has planned a celebration that includes a summer full of original series and specials, including MEAT WEEK. Goodbye GMC. As of June 2013, GMC will no longer exist, because GMC is getting a name change and will eventually be known as UP! As in UPlifting Entertainment. This development season more original content will be added to the three staples of the GMC Network; GMC World Premiere Series, GMC World Premiere Movies and GMC World Premiere Stage Plays. I only watch the Hallmark Channel when it is time for Christmas, and they are doing their annual twelve days of Xmas. Otherwise, I am not even sure what channel Hallmark is even on. That being said for the first time EVER Hallmark TV is venturing into scripted television. It will use two of its movies as pilots and will launch the new scripted series closely after and I think I just might have to tune in. I am about to sound like an idiot but, there are actual shows on the weather channel? I thought the only thing that played on the weather channel was well the weather. So it was a huge surprise when I  saw that not only did they have an upfront, but that they were adding 9  new shows, bringing their total original series to 20  for the 2013 television season. *UPDATED JUNE 17th* Two days ago Bravo jumped into upfront season with both feet and unveiled a gigantic slate filled with original programming. It will include 17 new shows and the return of 18 unscripted series that many have grown to love and despise. As if this was not enough, the execs at Bravo’s Upfront announced three new SCRIPTED series in development. I am not sure how they are going to air so many series but it will be fun to watch them try.
