State of Affairs - Pilot Review

Premiere Date: Nov. 17 th 2014 Network: NBC Starring: Katherine Heigl & Alfre Woodard Genre: Political and Espionage Thriller Even without watching one minute State of Affairs, I knew my biggest qualm with the show was the casting of Katherine Heigl as its main star. Katherine Heigl is best known for her role as the caring, voluptuous, blond surgical intern on Grey’s Anatomy. Unfortunately, she burned bridges with not only the creator of Grey's but she also pissed off a lot of fans over the way she left and her actions leading up to her leaving the show. After Grey's she had a few so-so parts in Rom-Coms on the big screen, essentially playing the same type of character over and over. So, I was not expecting much from her new show, and to be honest the promos haven’t helped. The scene in the promo where she talks about “ending all of their lives” comes across phony and calls into question her ability to pull off her role in the show. Yesterday, I got a chance...

CBS is easily the most watched network on television, most of its series at very episodic featuring a case of the week type of format that allows for viewers to miss one episode but tune in for the next one. CBS has become known for premiering the least amount of new shows every fall, which is a testament to the ratings and popularity of the various series on its network. With 2 new shows set to premiere this fall, and 2 more scheduled for early winter, this tradition will continue. CBS Kicks 7 Shows To The Curb

You have to go Big or go Home if you are looking to keep your slot at CBS. Unfortunately, some shows are just not up to CBS standards. This year, 6 shows have been cancelled, and an iconic comedy is coming to an end. Although CBS' head of programming announced that there would most likely only be two new drama series picked up and two new comedy series added to the line-up it is now abundantly clear that CBS will welcome more than four new shows next season. Most of the shows coming to an end saw the writing on the wall and wrote an appropriate series ending.

6 Shows Still On The Bubble For CBS

Thursday Night Football has found a new home at CBS. Therefore, the already cramped CBS schedule is getting even tighter since there is less room on the roster. The network has not stated that they are only looking to add 2 dramas and 2 comedies to the line-up for next year. On the heels of that announcement they have decided to renew nine of their hit dramas, five of their stand out comedies and both of their critically acclaimed reality series. Shows that have been officially renewed include; NCIS, NCIS: LA, Criminal Minds, Person Of Interest,

BANG! 3 more seasons for the Big Bang Theory

The Big Bang Theory had an iconic 3 year multi-year renewal deal with CBS which kept the series going until 2014-2015. As the highest rated comedy on network television it was not a question as to whether or not the show would be renewed but rather for how many seasons the show would be renewed for. Well congratulations Theory Fans, CBS and Warner Brothers have reached another 3 year renewal deal for the iconic television series. This would allow the series to at least see 10 seasons. This deal would keep The Big Bang Theory on CBS until at least 2016-2017. Big Bang is not the only chuck Lorre series in talks for additional seasons, there are rumors of a 13-episode final season of Two and a Half Men eyed along with renewals for next season of Mike & Molly and freshman Mom.  Even through the show
