My Five Wives Picked Up for Full Season

A NEW PLURAL FAMILY IS COMING TO TLC My Five Wives: Polygamous Family Gets Reality TV Series,  March 9th at 10/9c On TLC After the success of the My Five Wives Special, TLC is turning the special into a brand new series. My Five Wives features Brady Williams, his five wives, and their combined 24 children, who all live together on their large family property outside Salt Lake City, Utah. Believing in equality for everyone and a God who loves and accepts all, the Williams family emphasize that their choice to be together is more about their mutual love and commitment than it is about religion. Though their beliefs and their decision to leave their church have led them to be shunned by their community and estranged from many family members, the Williams believe their sacrifices are worth it. MY FIVE WIVES REVIEW

"A different kind of Plural Family" To be honest, it has taken me a long time to write this blog post because I have been unsure about what I wanted to say about the TLC special My 5 Wives. Let me explain why... I am a liberal democrat, a feminist, a Christian and a huge advocate of choice, personal accountability and awareness. Even more than Robyn joining the family on sister wives, I think that the recent departure from their place of worship has had deep effects that the family...

The network decided to capitalized on the American public's innate fascination with alternative lifestyles and their curiosity with how these all American families; live, interact and find a way to raise and feed households that are often 5 or 6 times the size of the average family.    We got our first look into how normal and yet chaotic their lives were when TLC introduced its viewers to the Brown family; Kody, his four wives, and their seventeen children. They ice blocked, threw co-ed parties, and had a non negotiable stance on modesty -- they were normal. It only took one episode for TLC to know they had a hit on their hands. In four seasons, there has bee...
