New Drama Series for USA Network

The as-of-now, untitled drama starring Matt Passmore (the Glades) has been ordered to series on USA Network. This untitled drama series aka the Sean Jablonski project has been given a 10 episode season 1 pickup. The Sean Jablonski project is a provocative drama exploring a marriage that has hit a lag. The show follows investment banker Neil Truman (Passmore) who accidentally discovers his wife’s (Stephanie Szostak) involvement with an escort. The new series is set to film in Georgia and will premiere
this summer. “This is a powerful new addition to our drama slate and marks the next generation of sophisticated storytelling for USA,” said USA Network President Chris McCumber. This show is a big step for USA Network, in their push to get away from drama procedurals with appealing leads that put it on the map and propelled it to the top cable ratings spot. With the pickup of Sean Jablonski, from USA’s sister studio UCP, there are three drama pilots that are yet to learn their fate, Rush and The Novice from Fox 21 and Complications from Fox TV Studios and Burn Notice creator Matt Nix. The series pickup for Sean Jablonski follows the recent series order for comedy Benched. The network’s upcoming series also include comedies Sirens and Playing House.

MY FIVE WIVES ON TLC

"One huge plural family" After the raid in Texas, many Americans became aware of polygamy as an alternative lifestyle being practiced secretly all over the U.S. TLC became the first channel to offer viewers an inside look into how polygamy was being practiced by "modern" looking men and women. The network decided to capitalized on the American public's innate fascination with alternative lifestyles and their curiosity with how these all American families; live, interact and find a way to raise and feed households that are often 5 or 6 times the size of the average family.    We got our first look into how normal and yet chaotic their lives were when TLC introduced its viewers to the Brown family; Kody, his four wives, and their seventeen children. They ice blocked, threw co-ed parties, and had a non negotiable stance on modesty -- they were normal. It only took one episode for TLC to know they had a hit on their hands. In four seasons, there has bee...
