VH1 Grabs New Scripted Series, Hindsight

VH1 has picked up new drama Hindsight, giving the hour long drama a 10-episode series pickup. The show is slated to premiere in early 2015. Hindsight, is set in 1990s New York and stars Laura Ramsey, and Sarah Goldberg. The show revolves around Becca (Ramsey) who, as she nears 40, is about to embark on her second wedding to Andy Kelly, but her joy is tempered by the absence of her old best friend Lolly (Goldberg) who’s a no-show, having dropped out of their relationship years ago. As Becca mulls over her past with Lolly and the mishap of her marriage to her first husband, Sean (Horner), she wakes up on her wedding day in 1995 – she’s about to marry Sean, a bad-boy artist who is all wrong for her – and she knows her first move must be to reconnect with Lolly to re-live that day. Can she “make it right” by living her life all over while re-adapting to life in New York City in the ’90s – a time of smoking in bars, carrying pagers, having an AOL email address? “Hindsight is a great mix of sweetness, drama, ’90s nostalgia and humor,” Levison. This female center drama seems to be the way VH1 is heading in regards to their scripted dramas. Although it is a slightly confusing premise, the show should be entertains to watch.

What do you think, are you looking forward to Hindsight?

MY FIVE WIVES ON TLC

"One huge plural family" After the raid in Texas, many Americans became aware of polygamy as an alternative lifestyle being practiced secretly all over the U.S. TLC became the first channel to offer viewers an inside look into how polygamy was being practiced by "modern" looking men and women. The network decided to capitalized on the American public's innate fascination with alternative lifestyles and their curiosity with how these all American families; live, interact and find a way to raise and feed households that are often 5 or 6 times the size of the average family.    We got our first look into how normal and yet chaotic their lives were when TLC introduced its viewers to the Brown family; Kody, his four wives, and their seventeen children. They ice blocked, threw co-ed parties, and had a non negotiable stance on modesty -- they were normal. It only took one episode for TLC to know they had a hit on their hands. In four seasons, there has bee...
