Despite WGN America only covering 62% of the country with a single feed, Salem‘s April 20 premiere averaged an impressive 3.4 million total viewers and 1.5 million adults 18-49 in Live+7. Through its first two telecasts in Live+3 viewing, Salem has logged nearly 1.7 million total viewers and 806,000 among Adults 18-49, a 776% increase over the network’s Adults 18-49 season-to-date average on Sundays at 10 PM ET.
Salem re-imagines the infamous 17th century witch trials in the Massachusetts town and it stars; Janet Montgomery, Shane West, Seth Gabel, Xander Berkeley, Ashley Madekwe, Tamzin Merchant, Elise Eberle and Iddo Goldberg. With the strong buzz surrounding this new scripted series at WGN America it is no surprise, Salem has been picked up for a second season. This 13 episode 2nd season will be filmed in 2014, and WGN plans to premiere it in early 2015. What do you think? Does Salem deserve 13 more episodes? Rant or Rave in the comments
ABC is the home to some of the most talked about dramas on network television including; Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, Revenge, Nashville and of course Marvels Agents of Shield. With six new series starting this fall, and many more set to premiere at the mid-season, ABC is determined to find some programming the resonates with viewers. Not only has ABC added new shows, but they have also gotten smarter with their scheduling; moving Greys Anatomy to the Thursday death slot and moving Agents of Shield back an hour where there is less competition. ABC has always had a family/women centered programming and this year it is trying something a little bit different. There is something for everyone on ABC this season, so you should check out what they have to offer. 2014 ABC FALL SCHEDULE:
