Sean Saves the World Cancelled by NBC!

Bad News!

Fans will not have to wait until May to find out if Sean Saves the World will be renewed for next season. It's official Sean Saves the World has officially been cancelled. In fact the show has stopped production on its 18 episode order with only 14 having been completed, and 12 having aired on NBC. The Thursday comedy block has been an anemic all season, struggling to find a ratings foothold. After hitting a series low in ratings logging a .7 last week, the network brass has decided to put the show out of its misery.

Sean Saves the World, starred Hayes a gay divorced dad, dealing with a career, a over-involved mother and a 14 year old daughter. Sean Saves the World, joins Welcome to the Family as the second NBC comedy to be cancelled this season.

This week NBC has scheduled SNL Sports Spectacular special to air. The weeks that follow will be filled with the Winter Olympics. After the Olympics, NBC will look at using the remaining 2 episodes of Sean Saves the World as spackle.

  1. NBC cancels most of their shows too early. I'll admit, it took me a few weeks to get into Sean Saves the World, but it had become one show I can't wait for every week. Very disappointed in NBC.... but what's new.

    1. I agree. I think SSTW could have tried a schedule change a few months back to see if there was an audience for the show. The times I watched, I thought the show was quite funny.
